People Administrator

As People Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the People, Culture and Community team in the areas of recruitment and induction as well as maintaining personnel records, assisting with the appraisal process, and arranging external and internal training and exit interviews.

Additionally, you will have a role in safeguarding Volume’s brand reputation and visual identity across our social media, Volume People site and corporate social responsibility initiatives. You will contribute to the planning and running of internal and external events to ensure that they are aligned to the company’s focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in the maintenance of the HR management system (PeopleHR). Entering data such as employee changes, holidays and absences and all other elements of employment to ensure accurate recor

  • Prepare, organise and file HR documentation, including changes to contracts, policies, employee inductions, handbooks and the management of staff benefits

  • Assist the People Manager with various HR tasks

  • Manage the administration and assist with delivery and evaluation of planned ad hoc projects within the organisation

  • Provide front of house support as and when required

  • Contribute towards the recruitment process for Volume or Volume Academy; posting job adverts, searching for CVs, liaising with recruitment agencies, book interviews, speaking to candidates

  • Support the Volume onboarding process for all new starters – booking meetings into diaries, preparing new starter material and recommend improvement based on feedback provided from employees

  • Manage, drive and monitor Volume’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.). You will be required to send regular updates across all social media networks as well as respond to any messages received by the Volume account. Your aim is to increase our following aligned to business aims – globally. Make recommendations as to how we can improve our numbers.

  • Assist with the coordination of all internal events and company social activities

  • Build relationships with charities to help engage momentum for fundraising

Skills:

  • Achieved or studying towards a Level 3 CIPD qualification

  • A desire to work in a fast-paced HR department

  • Ability to build effective relationships with line managers and employees in all levels of the business

  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Proactive mentality, ability to work on your own initiative 

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Bonus – experience in social media
